After pastoring churches in
America
for 27 years, James and Susan received the call from God to foreign missions in 1999, and accepted the assignment to
Belize
,
Central America
.
Their first year as missionaries was spent in
San Jose
,
Costa Rica
in language school learning Spanish. They arrived in
Belize
in June 2002. Upon arrival, they served as the directors of the Assemblies of God Bible Institute in
Belize City
. Other areas of ministry during their first term involved church planting, prison ministry, medical and hygiene clinics, Sunday School training, children’s ministries, encouragement to national pastors, and evangelism.
When James and Susan return to
Belize
in May 2005, their major focus will be to start an
International
Teen
Challenge
Center
at the invitation of the Belizean Assemblies of God and the Government of Belize.
